This boat "Maritana"is a Bruce Roberts Design Passagemaker, built in 2005 and is based on 'real fishing trawler lines' and this ensures wonderful sea-keeping qualities. There are over 500 of these so you may have seen one or more at your marina.

Built with grade 44W steel plate varying in thickness from 1/2" at the bottom of the keel to 3/8" on the sides of the keel to 3/16" for most of the hull and deck. The steel hull and superstructure were sandblasted to white metal before application of an epoxy based primer (International Marine Coatings).

The interior above the waterline is insulated with fire rated PU foam. She is a full displacement aft cabin trawler design with a fly bridge and walk around deck with proper handrail all around. The aft cabin deck is also railed and safe to lounge, store the bikes or a small boat. The swim platform is built of a maintenance free composite material.

With windows all around, the interior is bright and pleasant. She is a very comfortable boat with adequate head room and spacious decks. The interior is Teak veneer paneling with Black Cherry trim.

Maritana sleeps four comfortably with two staterooms, a large guest cabin forward has a V-berth and the stateroom aft has a fold out queen size berth. There is an enclosed head with a manual toilet and wash basin.

Looking back towards the aft cabin, the galley is on the left and has a Force 10 three burner propane stove with oven, single stainless sink and a built in ice box. To the right is a cosy dining/lounge with an attractive "race track" style table.

The flybridge is an elevated patio, great place to sit and look around when cruising or lounging. The fly bridge is constructed of wood epoxy, the bench seat for the second steering station is also a storage locker.

The style of this vessel indicates she is built for the sea. There is a high radar arch to elevate the radar, lights, antenna and hailer. The arch is made of painted SS 1 1/2" pipe, the railings are welded 1 1/4" polished 316 SS mounted to painted 818 SS deck standoffs.
